Shipping & Returns


Shipping Policy

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.


Returns Policy

Live Wire tests all el wire kits before they are shipped to insure that they are working properly. If the product or kit you receive is not working properly, please give us a call or email us within 3 business days of receiving your package. Once you have received confirmation from us please ship the defective unit in its original packaging to the return destination within 2 business days from date package arrived your destination. Packages shipped back after 2 business days will get store credit only! Please call us at 718-337-0454 or e-mail us before sending the defective unit. Please note that a high pitched noise coming from inverter is normal and is not considered a defect. 

Due to the specific nature of each order, orders can not be cancelled if they have been prepared. (wire is cut to specific length and connections are made) Returns on all non-defective units must be returned within 3 days of purchase packaged in original packaging and will be charged a 30% restocking fee. Units returned after 3 days are not refundable or replaceable.

If incorrect address is given by customer and package is returned to Live Wire, you will get store credit less all shipping expenses as well as 30% restocking fee, or we can re-ship the goods to the correct address. You will be responsible for the cost of shipment. All International, Canada, rush, and custom orders as well as stickman costume orders, are not refundable or replaceable. All "raw" el wire and or "self soldered" or "customer soldered" products or electronics or overstock items are not refundable or replaceable.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
